Calculate the current cost of colocating your own server at the DataCheap data center in Moscow. By default, the service includes rack space from 1U, 400 W of power, one outlet, one IPv4 address and a guaranteed 1 Gbps port.

How is the server colocation cost calculated?
The base price depends on the number of occupied rack units and the selected traffic plan. Each colocated server includes 400 W of rated power, one outlet, one IPv4 address and a 1 Gbps port on plans with network connectivity.
Additional power, outlets, IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, subnets, removable equipment, remote hands and network administration can be added to the monthly fee. Server installation without rails and IP KVM rental are one-time services. Orders for 3, 6 or 12 months receive a 3%, 5% or 10% discount for the selected period.
Server colocation cost examples
- 1U, 5 TB, 1 month: RUB 4,000.
- 1U, 30 TB, 3 months: RUB 6,500 per month and RUB 18,915 for the period after the 3% discount.
- 1U, 100 TB, 12 months: RUB 8,000 per month and RUB 86,400 for the period after the 10% discount.
Basic data center engineer operations with your equipment — power on/off/restart and visual diagnostics — are free. Other operations, including work that requires opening the equipment, are billed at RUB 3,000 per hour.

Frequently asked questions about server colocation
What is included in the base plan?
Rack space from 1U, 400 W of power, one electrical outlet, one IPv4 address, installation, cabling and basic engineering operations. The exact network connection depends on the selected plan.
How is excess power billed?
Power above the included 400 W is billed separately. Enter the additional wattage in the calculator to include it in the monthly cost.
What happens if the traffic allowance is exceeded?
Traffic above the 5, 30 or 100 TB allowance is billed at the current per-gigabyte rate. Select a larger package in advance if you expect consistently high traffic.
Can I colocate a 2U or larger server?
Yes. Select the actual number of occupied rack units in the calculator. Non-standard and ATX equipment must be approved before installation.
How do I receive a long-term discount?
Select 3, 6 or 12 months in the calculator to apply a 3%, 5% or 10% discount automatically. Individual terms are available for larger deployments.
Is equipment access available around the clock?
Yes. Equipment access and technical support are available 24×7×365 in accordance with the data center access procedure.
What is colocation in general?
Colocation is the placement of a client's dedicated server (as a rule, a standard industrial form factor server of 1U height) at the DC (data center) site for a fee, connecting it to high-speed communication channels. In Moscow, colocation is popular among corporate customers, large Internet projects, hosting providers and other organizations, for whom placing a business in a reliable data center is a prerequisite for successful business.
Buying a colocation service, you get the opportunity to place your equipment in a room specifically designed for storing equipment. In such a room, a special climate regime is observed, we provide power supply, fire and physical equipment safety.
Colocation services is the best solution if you have a large Internet project (for example, an information or game portal, an online store, etc.) that requires a separate server. Colocation of servers is also beneficial if you are a hosting provider yourself and you need to rent a rack or a dedicated cabinet to place your own server in the DC.
